The undeniably talented and passionate Nicola D’Urbano was the protégée of Pierre Page, the most avant-garde designer of his time. Together, they produced unique designs in the mid 1980s and early 1990s for some of Montreal’s best known boutiques, including La Cricca (Simon Chang), Louis Vuitton and Lilly Simon. These projects led to interesting opportunities and a variety of design jobs spanning from Westmount homes, to health clubs (Club La Cite), and St. Hilaire hotels (Manoir Rouville Campbell).
Establishing D’Urbano Design in association with DCM Construction has only added to D’Urbano’s long list of accomplishments, which include the redesign of the famous Da Vinci restaurant, Matt Bailey on Crescent Street, a concept development for the Gaudi men’s boutique (Galeries D’Anjou) and the complete renovation of Catcan’s offices.
With his modest approach, versatile style, and creative genius, Nick has become one of the hottest, most in demand designers around.
D’Urbano’s designs are everywhere. Just look around. His work says it all! |
